Collaborations

Christine has recently performed in several collaborations:

With Lorraine Jordan
Songs and ballads from Dark Pearls, Christine’s most recent album on Culburnie Records, which celebrates the Scottish tradition. Some new treatments of the old songs, accompanied and a capella harmony. Christine and Lorraine really spark off each other, and gigs are good fun – it goes without saying, of course, that they’re also great musical experiences!

Songs and Tunes of the Sea with Norman Chalmers
Norman Chalmers and Christine present a delightful programme of songs and tunes with a nautical flavour, and a cornucopia of instruments! Perfect for boat festivals. They performed this show on the Sheil Lass at the Highland Festival to a very happy audience and crew! They supported Ladysmith Black Mambazo on a recent tour - Joseph, the leader of that group, loved the music and songs!

With Maureen Jelks
Maureen and Christine celebrate their musical roots in a selection of songs from Dundee, Angus and the rest of Scotland. From big ballads to work songs, a capella and accompanied. This “best of contemporary” also features joyous song, harmony and humour! This show debuted at Dunblane Folk Festival this year where non-folk folk were heard to wax lyrical!
