Workshops
Christine is now available as workshop and
masterclass leader for festivals and concerts. Christine and her musical
friends can offer a huge variety of workshops, and can suggest and tailor
ideas for any event.
At present she delivers to a number of projects in her
capacity as traditional music/song educator. these include her Christine
Kydd's Singing For Fun workshops which aim primarily to set up
singing groups within communities to encourage people to sing in larger
groups, and to familiarize people with song material from many sources,
including Scots and local material. Projects are running on Skye, Angus
and Perthshire, and she also delivers to projects which she helped develop
in the Central Belt. Arrangements she has made of some songs have travelled
to
other similar groups across
the UK.
Educational Projects
Based on song, tradition, songmaking and voice. With Mats Melin, well-known
authority on Scottish Dance, the current project offered can be tailored.
This includes Step Dance, Social Dance, Songmaking and Singing for Dancing.
Its an exciting model, which has already been piloted around schools!
Its great for helping to fulfil many targets, including those for
Expressive Arts. Read more about Ceilidhmakers
